Mickey was found stumbling in the middle of the streets of Santa Marta calling out and meowing unfortunately without anyone stopping to help. She could barely stand up because of her infected leg and had one eye almost completely closed shut (due to a small cut that had also gotten infected). She was severely malnourished and skinny. However Mickeys story is a good one! She made a full recovery and got adopted almost immediately. Mickey was named for a mickey mouse shaped spot on her back and her loving and energetic personality despite all odds. Today Mickey is living happily in her forever home!
