Fostering An Animal
How It Works
Fostering is one one of the most significant ways that you can help. We are always looking for foster parents to care for animals that are not yet ready to be adopted. Some animals may require a foster parent to help them socialize or become comfortable in a homelike setting. Other times many of our foster parents are eager to foster a litter of puppies or kittens that they can provide with the utmost time and care.
A foster parent should be patient, have a deep love for animals, and must be fully committed to caring for one of our foster animals.
Foster parents take care of a cat or dog for a given time. Foster Parents create a safe haven for animals in the transition of becoming adaptable or being adopted. Organizacion Animales Felizes will pair you with an animal that can assimilate to your daily life and matches your comfort level of care.
Organizacion Animales Felices will cover all vet costs. We also provide monthly food, a pet bed, and food and water bowls so that you can solely focus on care-taking.
How to Become a Foster Parent
First time foster parent
Step 1. Fill out our application. After submitting the application you will receive a confirmation email.
Step 2. Shortly after submitting the application one of our staff members will be in touch and will let you know if you are a good fit to join our foster program.

Step 3. Next you will receive an email regarding a time to receive an online orientation session.
​
Step 4. After completing the online orientation session and a brief home safety check you will receive a foster parent certificate, and you will be a certified foster parent for Orgaizacion Animales Felices!

Are you already a certified foster parent?

If you are already a certified foster parent with Organizacion Animales Felices and would like to foster again then please fill out the "existing foster parent application"
*If more than 3 months have passed since the last online orientation and home safety inspection then this will have to be done once more to ensure the safety of our animals.
